From 31 January to 2 February 2023, in Lomé, Togo, UNREC, together with the ECOWAS Small Arms Division, co-organized a regional workshop for the establishment of National Control List by ECOWAS Member States and Universalization of ATT in West Africa. UNREC participated in the preparation committee suring which it recommended the invitation of the Head of the ATT Secretariat. During the workshop, UNREC made an opening statement, presented its work in the region and moderated or made presentations in 8 sessions, including moderating the session on universalization of the ATT and its sponsorship programme and the voluntary trust fund. The event was reported on the UNREC Twitter throughout the three days, some of which have been retweeted by ECOWAS and other partners.
