On 22 May, UNREC participated virtually in the WFP regional workshop for Benin, Cote
d’Ivoire, Ghana and Togo on Stock taking of Gulf of Guinea preparedness and investment
plans. UNREC shared expert’s insights on traffic of illicit weapons and goods including dual
use goods by violent extremists and transnational criminals and recommendations for UN
action.
